About Alula Bright in Hempstead
We are a Clay Curriculum based Preschool in Hempstead. We care for children from 6 weeks to 4 years and provide a range of age-appropriate resources and activities to encourage their development right up until they are ready to join school.

Our mission is to revitalize early childhood education in the community by offering a holistic, play-based curriculum that nurtures and enriches young minds. By blending indoor and outdoor classrooms in a home-away-from-home setting, we create a space where children feel empowered and ready to learn through both structured and creative activities.
Who We Are
Alula Bright got its start in Valley Stream as an in-home daycare in 2022. We decided to do things a bit differently at Alula Bright by creating a space which fosters early learning in a fun, playful and safe environment, where children from 6 weeks to 4 years can explore the world around them and expand on their curiosities.
We believe our innovative approach gives children a bright and positive start in life as we encourage both exploration and discovery as well as emotional intelligence and building friendships.
Our Story
Alula Bright Preschool began from my own journey as a mother and lawyer looking for the perfect child care for my children. I wanted a place that honored my family’s cultures, values, and personal preferences. When I couldn't find what I was looking for, I decided to create it myself.
What started as a small in-home daycare quickly blossomed. Within a few months, our program was full, and I received calls from parents in other states asking if Alula Bright was a franchise and if we could care for their children too! This overwhelming response made it clear to me just how important quality early childhood education is.
I realized that the ages of 0 - 5 are crucial for shaping a bright and successful future. I didn’t feel confident that public schools could fully support my child's curiosity, need for adventure, and potential to bring positive change to the world. So, I decided to expand and create a place where children can explore, grow, and build the confidence they need to succeed.
To ensure we offer the best care possible, I travelled across the country, attending conferences and learning from top experts in early childhood education. I even went all the way to China to handpick or custom design the perfect furniture for our classrooms, making sure every detail of our preschool environment supports your child's development and well-being.

About Our Hempstead Location
When you visit us here at Alula Bright, you’ll see firsthand what makes us different!
At Alula Bright, we aim to instill joy and happiness every day! We have both indoor and outdoor play spaces, allowing children to explore and build their imagination, curiosity and confidence, whatever the weather.
The health and wellbeing of our children is our top priority. We have spaces designed for therapists to provide one-on-one support to children, and we have a dedicated “sick child space” for children who are feeling unwell and require additional support and monitoring while we contact their family.
We use Educator, a lesson planning and curriculum software, to create detailed, tailored lesson plans for each child. Our approach is guided by the Alula Bright framework, which emphasizes play-based learning to inspire curiosity, creativity, and a love for discovery.
We love to celebrate and through a variety of external professionals, holiday celebrations and themed days dedicated to exploring cultures and traditions, we teach our stars to embrace and explore the world around them with open arms.
Stars Room
(Infants, 6 weeks - 18 months)
Our Stars Room is a nurturing space designed to ensure your child's well-being and development, providing you with peace of mind. At Alula Bright, we recognize that each baby is unique, so we customize our care to fit your child's individual schedule and preferences. Whether it's feeding, diaper changes, or nap times, your child's routine becomes our routine.
We offer a range of age-appropriate toys and activities aimed at enhancing sensory and motor skills. From soft toys to vibrant objects, our room is a stimulating yet safe environment for your infant to explore.
Constellations Room
(18 - 36 months)
For our Constellations, we aim to create a home-like environment where your child feels nurtured, stimulated, and loved, fostering growth and development. We provide a well-rounded early learning experience through sensory play, reading, music, and other engaging activities, supporting both cognitive and creative development.
Our environment encourages exploration and ensures holistic development. We introduce toddlers to a variety of classes, such as Music, and Art, offering rich language interactions and promoting growth in multiple areas.
Galaxies Room
(3 year olds)
In our Galaxies room, three-year-olds embark on a journey of discovery and wonder. At this critical stage of development, we focus on nurturing each child's innate curiosity and eagerness to learn, creating an environment that balances comfort with opportunities for growth.
At this stage, we focus on essential milestones including language development, self-regulation, and social-emotional skills. We emphasize activities that enhance verbal communication, encourage independence in daily routines, and foster empathy and cooperation among peers. Physical milestones are also prioritized, with activities designed to refine both gross and fine motor skills.
At the end of their time in the Galaxies Room, your child will be well-prepared to transition to the Milky Way Room, equipped with the skills and confidence needed for the next stage of their educational journey.
The Milky Way Room
(4 year olds)
Our Milky Way Room is designed to offer a diverse range of activities and resources to cater to your child's developmental needs. We prioritize education and Kindergarten preparation by including group activities - such as circle time and music sessions - within our daily routines, to encourage social interaction and foundational math and pre-reading skills.
Our vibrant play area promotes gross motor skills and socialization, emphasizing cooperative play and sharing, which is important for kindergarten readiness. We also provide puzzles and educational games for cognitive and problem-solving development, alongside arts and crafts to nurture creativity.
When children graduate from The Milky Way on their way to Kindergarten, a star will be registered in their name, to celebrate and honor the incredible learning journey they have embarked upon at Alula Bright!

Where Learning is Play
At Alula Bright, we believe in the power of learning through play. Our goal is to empower every child to enrich their minds with diverse, play-based experiences. We provide both indoor and outdoor playgrounds, offering abundant opportunities for our little stars to grow in curiosity and confidence.
Our outdoor area includes a garden where children can enjoy gardening, fostering a love for nature and hands-on learning. Additionally, our indoor playground features cedar work climbers, a dramatic play center, a flight lab, and a light table. These varied play areas ensure that children can develop important skills through play, regardless of the weather.

Merging Teaching and Childcare
We offer a variety of programs, including daycare for infants and toddlers, preschool, pre-kindergarten and kindergarten prep.
We believe that it’s never too early to start learning and that it’s vital to always present opportunities for children to learn, nurture their curiosity and have fun as soon as they start at our center.
By developing our programs with curriculum experts and childcare specialists, we’ve been able to hone in on what makes early education a success and created a learning program that allows our children to enter school seamlessly
