About Alula Bright
We are a Clay Curriculum based Preschool in Hempstead. We care for children from 6 weeks to 4 years and provide a range of age-appropriate resources and activities to encourage their development right up until they are ready to join school.
We empower every child to thrive and grow with confidence in mind, body, and soul. Our mission is to revitalize early childhood education in the community by offering a holistic, play-based curriculum that nurtures and enriches young minds.
The name "Alula Bright" is inspired by the Arabic term "Alula," which means “springing forward,” symbolizing growth, progress, and the boundless potential within every child. Additionally, Alula Bright refers to a unique astronomical location in the Aurora Borealis where two stars, Nu Ursae Majoris, meet and shine as one, signifying unity and brilliance.
At Alula Bright, we are a close-knit team that goes above and beyond to create a family feel in our preschool. Our team is highly qualified in all aspects of childcare including up to Degree level. We continually invest in our team and provide opportunities to further their knowledge and development which maintains their motivation, commitment, and enjoyment. This could be through long-term qualification routes or short courses or in-house training.

Head Teacher
We're currently on the lookout for a high-energy, fun, outgoing, and friendly person to join us as a Head Teacher.
The successful candidate will be responsible for creating lesson plans, and organized and structured activities for our children.
This is a full-time position, and we are thrilled to offer a competitive salary based on experience and qualifications, as well as the opportunity to work within a warm, welcoming team.
We're on the lookout for candidates who have the following:
Mature, willing to learn, have the drive to work with children, of good character, and possess suitable personal qualifications.
Must be 18 years of age.
5+ or more years of experience in a similar role, working with children less than 6 years of age.
Fingerprinting, and criminal history background checks to be completed.
A commitment to delivering high-quality care along with a willingness to learn!
As a Head Teacher, your duties and responsibilities include:
Apply best practices in structured indoor and outdoor lesson plans.
Cleaning and sanitizing classrooms and other areas used by the children.
Collaborate with assistant teachers and others to coordinate instructional efforts and different activities.
You will need to respond quickly to each child's unique personal needs.
Flexibility within working practices of the setting, undertaking other duties where needed, such as domestic tasks, preparation of snack meals, cleansing of equipment, etc.
